Data wrapped up as festive season begins
Things quieten down over the festive period, but there are still some pieces of data out in the week ahead which might impact currency markets. While it’s a quiet start to the week, German Retail Sales data will emerge on Thursday, as well as the US Consumer Confidence figure. The European Central Bank (ECB) will also publish its December 13th Economic Bulletin.
Friday will close the week with some UK data, including the Loans for House Purchase and Nationwide House Price stats. The German inflation number will also reach markets, as well as some US figures such as Pending Home Sales. It’s possible politics may create some currency movement, but developments are expected to be quieter throughout the festive period.
You can still get in touch with us between Christmas and New Year if you’d like to discuss your currency requirements, and our market reports will begin again on January 2nd.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas,
The Global Reach team
